The Great Subject Line Experiment is a research project run by Copy Poetics LLC. By contributing, you’re helping us understand patterns in the subject lines creative business owners send and share what we learn.
What we collect
We collect the information you provide in this form, including your contributor details, list-size range, uploaded email performance data, and any insights you choose to share.
Please upload campaign-level statistics only. Do not include subscriber names, email addresses, or individual subscriber activity.
What we’ll publish
The report will include your provided contributor name, bio, link, and headshot. We may also publish attributed quotes from your written insights.
We’ll analyze the contributed email data and publish findings across submissions. We may include individual subject lines and their performance without naming the contributor. We won’t publish your list-size response or your original CSV file.
Your submission is identifiable to us. Although we won’t attribute subject-line performance to you in the report, a distinctive subject line could still be recognizable to someone who has received your emails.
How we use and store your information
We use your submission to prepare the experiment, analyze the data, credit contributors, and communicate with you about the project. Submissions are collected through Tally. Raw submissions will be viewed and analyzed by Nicole Cloutier of Copy Poetics and Bri Janusaitis of Suzie North Studios for these purposes.
Participating does not subscribe you to the Copy Poetics marketing newsletter. Any newsletter subscription will be a separate choice.
How long we keep it
We’ll keep identifiable submissions and raw uploaded files for 6 months, then delete them from the systems we control. The published report and findings will remain available afterward.
