“Templates” have always gotten a lot of flack in the copywriting world — and yes, there is a way that templates (especially mad-lib style) can create a pixelated sea of sames-y sales pages.

But, as I’m sure you know, sometimes rules & constraints can actually lead to creativity.

Like a sonnet or a haiku: when you’re forced to make a rhyme or hit a rhythm, you’re going to dig for words and phrases that are beyond what comes easily. And that’s a good thing.

So instead of seeing this template as something rigid, I invite you to see it as a poetic form — something that gives you a table-space on which to talk about your work.

One final request from me before you get started: please don’t let AI write your first draft. You can let it help you polish afterwards, but remember that while powerful, AI is incapable of giving you anything original. Trust yourself with that part.

Your instructions

First, if you haven’t already made a copy of this Notion template, you can do that by hitting “duplicate” in the upper right corner. You won’t be able to make edits until you do. You’re also welcome to copy/paste any text into a Google or Word doc.

Second, start working through the prompts below. They’re designed to help you write a sales page that is ready to sell — while also being completely original to you and your audience. I like to call this “copy that feels good in your gut” …. and also makes you money. 🙂

Your Sales Page Template

Remember, you don’t need a never-ending sales page, but also don’t think that people won’t read a long page — because if they’re really considering buying something, they absolutely will.
